Happy Australia Day!

Yet another long absence........
Well, it has been a while since my last posting.
At least I've been guilty of being busy, and not idle.
We had a wonderful Christmas, and a quiet New Year at home.
At least quiet inside the house. ;o)

Around the neighbourhood there were very enthusiastic neighbours
setting off very loud fireworks until just before dawn.
A lot of fun was had around about, and I'm sure there were a few sore heads on New Years day. :o)
My little one slept through the night so I was happy.

My sewing tally since arriving home has included....
26 toddler aprons.....
36 'Tinkle Tents', these are to pop on to bub's pee-pee
to stop his wee-wee from hitting any poor unsuspecting souls
during that nappy change. ;o)

I've also created 30 toddler t-shirts with various designs.
Unfortunately due to being
much too tired, I also wrecked twelve of the shirts!
At least I'm hoping to salvage
the back of the shirts to possibly make some bub's hats. :o(
Here's a peek at one of them.....
When I manage to figure out how to link from my flickr account,
and vice versa, I'll do so. Until then most of the other images are currently on my flickr page.

Until next time.
:o)

It's been a little while............

Well, we finally made it back home after ten days away, and have already been home for just over a week. Time really flies when you're exhausted!!

We had a great visit with family and friends, including my little one attempting to make some new ones. Much to the turkey's dismay, and ostrich's curiosity, a quick grabbing of her hands left her still intact to play another day!

One of the fun activities while visiting home was going to visit a friend at work in the local bakery. I took my little one, my nephew and one of his friends and they had a great time decorating their own cupcakes.

I still have a pile of recently finished scarves to be photographed and listed on to etsy. I hope to tackle these over the next few days. For now.....it's back to the grind-stone.

My little artist

I love to watch my little artist work away with her trusty piece of chalk. This picture was taken a little after she turned two, and had just started drawing her first 'people'. Sadly due to a major death of my old computer, and a disastrous deletion of my camera's memory card, I've lost a lot of images of her earlier artworks. Although I do keep discovering the odd one here and there.

This is one of her most recent artworks, done just a few days ago. A big Elephant! There are soooo many legs because he has to walk a long way for his ice-cream!

Where O where to begin...........

The thought of beginning a blog has been on my mind for some time now, although has always been placed in that 'too hard basket', in the back of my mind.

Tonight I thought that it was time to start putting a few new habits into place. Good one's at least! So Ta-Daa! I've started my first post.

While it's very hard to try and be productive and produce items for my etsy store. It's never too hard to surf the web and be inspired by so many amazing creative
people that exist out there. I've added a few onto my links and hope that you may find them interesting too.

I thought that I'd just start slowly and add an image or two of items that have been around about and on my mind. Hope y
ou enjoy.........

The rings above are from a series that I'd began a little before my daughter was born and I'm working my way back to completing some more pieces and getting them 'out there' in the near future. That is once I've managed to sort out more of the fallout of the rearrangement of the house.................
